Verse of the Day 3/18/05

Commit your way to the LORD;
trust in him and he will do this:
He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn,
the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.

How much do you trust Him? Give your life to Him and He will work through you and use you as His tool. Give your life over to Him and let Him take control. It's really hard to do, but it's entirely worth it.

...those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

We are God's "sons," his children with full inheritance rights. We have not only been given grace, but we live as his children and enjoy the blessings of his eternal family.

Verse of the Day 3/16/05

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

God gave us a wonderful gift as Christ's earthly life came to a close. We were given the Holy Spirit so that we can be confident in God's power and presence. What are you doing to interact with the Spirit?

Verse of the Day 3/15/05

Though He brings grief, He will show compassion,

We all have troublesome times. As you deal with them, remember that God loves you and will help you out of it. He doesn't relish in our grief and He will give us what we need to overcome it. Pray to Him and be blessed with His gifts.

Verse of the Day 3/14/05

We did not follow cleverly invented stories when we told you about the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

We don't have to rely on mere stories to believe in God. Sure, they help, but what will really change the skeptic's mind is a miraculous event. They happen every day. Every time a child is conceived and born, it's a miracle. When a child is born prematurely but survives because the right staff members were there (on their day off) to help, it's a miracle. They're all around us. We really just need to pay attention.

Rise up and help us;
redeem us because of your unfailing love.

It's really important to ask God for help when you need it. It's more important to let Him help you, though. Turn away from evil and walk with God. He loves you and nothing in this world can separate you from that love. If you've faltered, ask for forgiveness. Regardless of why, go to God and find comfort in Him.

Verse of the Day 3/12/05

Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, "Oh, that You would bless me and
enlarge my territory! Let Your hand be with me, and keep me from harm
so that I will be free from pain." And God granted his request.

We can achieve so much and we can think so much of it was done by
ourselves alone. Remember His help, whether you know it's there or
not. God is behind everything. Don't forget that as you go through
your daily lives.
